Mujibullah Shams is a student of Masters' degree in Computer and Information Engineering at Sakarya University, Turkey. His research focuses on IoT (Internet of Things) Security, particularly node and thing security. Mr. Shams completed his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Kabul University, Afghanistan. His major then, was Information Technologies and completed his dissertation on how to design a green datacenter for KU. Alongside being a student, He worked as a Senior Network Administrator at IT Center of Kabul University. He has also taken part in and completed many projects including building the IT Competence Center of Afghanistan and designing computer networks for private universities and companies through private contracts. These make up for three years of professional experience in computer networks and administration fields. Besides researching on IoT Security, he pursues learning innovative technologies including Applications of Blockchain and Data Science.
Mr. Shams joined NITPAA as a member in 2015 and became an executive board member in 2017. In the same year he attended MEAC-sig (Middle East and Adjoining Countries School of Internet Governance) held in Ankara, Turkey. He also represented Afghanistan as a fellow in ICANN61 in March 2018 held in Puerto Rico, US.
