Internet Governance Forum (IGF) had its 10th annual meeting in Joao Pessoa, Brazil in November 2015. NITPAA was selected as the only and first remote participation hub in Kabul, Afghanistan. This was the first time that someone in Afghanistan is participating in the global Internet conference online. The experience was highly enjoyed by the participants by not only listening to some of the selected sessions but also participate by raising questions that concern Afghanistan and the region.
Afghanistan's remote participants engaged greatly in the session on the topic of National Inernet Exchange Points (IXPs). Their engagement was also appreciated during this session and also during one of the main sessions in the great meetings halls, where Jane Coffin from Internet Society mentioned NITPAA's remote participation to the audience.
