In Pursuit of academic cooperation’s and dissemination's of knowledge to generate reciprocal benefits within a framework of openness, fairness and equity, a memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National IT Professionals Association of Afghanistan (NITPAA) and Karwan University on 25th of February 2017 at Karwan University. The memorandum calls for collaboration in knowledge sharing, Instructions and sharing of available resources.
The memorandum was signed by Mr. S. Hameed Rohani the Chancellor of Karwan University and the President of NITPAA Mr. Ahmad Waleed Khaliqi in the presence of key staff and members from both sides. Both the parties agreed to develop academic cooperation’s on various fields and agreed to initiate collaborative activities in academic areas of mutual interest such as sharing knowledge and available resources with the consent of the two parties for events, gatherings, sessions and workshops.
President of the NITPAA Mr. Ahmad Waleed Khaliqi briefly mentioned the NITPAA Background. He said that NITPAA is one of the first IT Associations in the country having a great Organizational Structure where the association is being led by a President elected by a Board of Trustees, and that the term for the president is for one year only. He said that NITPAA has continuously working on organizing events to reduce the gap between Students and the Market.
Talking about NITPAA and Karwan University Relations, he expressed his optimism in establishing strong relations between both the parties. He saw this visit to Karwan University as a start towards an enhanced understanding and broad relationship with Karwan at different levels. He said that the linkage is a significant step taken by both parties in promoting volunteerism and sharing technical knowledge.
Karwan University chancellor Mr. S. Hamid Rohani, while addressing the ceremony said that the memorandum of understanding would lead to knowledge sharing and instructions to students of Karwan University. He expressed his belief on the necessity and need for the associations like NITPAA in Afghanistan. He said that the IT industry of the country is getting some boom and presence of associations like National IT Professionals association of Afghanistan (NITPAA) is much needed for Afghan society. He openly welcomed NITPAA to use Karwan Unversity Library and Seminar Halls for organizing events and workshops for Karwan University students and Guest audiences as well.
Mr. A. Khalil Azizi, NITPAA Executive Member and acting dean of CS department of KU, speaking to the ceremony wished both organizations on having good relations and cooperation’s in the future and asked the audience to join associations like NITPAA to get engaged in the reshaping of the country. He also emphasized on feedback from the participants by letting NITPAA and KU know about their interests so that both the parties try to find the right person to deliver that required knowledge to the students.
